“… when the winds of change blow”

On the way to becoming the first energy region in the Alps, the Goms area in the Swiss canton of Valais is pursuing the aim of meeting a large part of its energy needs from local, renewable energy sources. In addition to tried and tested water power, the region is backing the use of solar and wind energy to produce electricity. SwissWinds is now launching a competition with local partners, energieregionGOMS, ewo and the district of Obergoms, for the construction of small wind power stations.

Are you an expert, a DIY fan, a tinkerer or just a fan of wind energy? Then take part in our competition and win one of the fabulous prizes which amount to total value of CHF 20,000.

You can find more information on the competition here.

«Opponents often need each other more than friends, for without wind, the mills won’t run.»
